I am still incoherent about the fic I received for Yuletide, it is actually more than I ever thought it could be. I haven't left a comment on it yet because of the server load but just.

Aaaahhh. *___* The point of view that it was written from kind of makes the fic - and honestly it is a hilarious and so perfect voice for Keiji. Sob. I first read it at 3 in the morning and I could barely stop myself from laughing.

in other christmas news: fluffy socks, the new Wheel of Time book, and my HD PVR thingy for my computer, among miscellaneous other things. My mother loves her couch (and so does the dog) and the gift for my father, a CFL jersey, went over amazingly well that I don't think he's going to take it off for a week.

I am currently wearing pyjama pants and intend to keep doing so all day.

So on the topic of Tenchijin, since I'm at work... It's one of those shows I download almost religiously, but don't watch right away. I usually get the raws as they come out, skim them for anything interesting and then get the sub from the Hawaii broadcast which is behind.

The sub for 28, I think, came out - this is relevant cause it's the Masamune first episode. It was awesome now knowing what the fuck was going on. Kanetsugu totally gets under his skin and Kanetsugu doesn't really understand why. I also enjoyed that Kanetsugu hit Masamune where it hurt, in regards to family (again unknowingly.)

AND THEN Masamune annihilated the Ashina. GG Kanetsugu :(

On that note, Kanetsugu's "OMG IS IT YUKIMURA" face is pretty adorable in and of itself.

I love this show even if I can't understand it. It makes me happy in my heart.

been trying to poke at fic but to no avail.

so instead, have a post about Tenchijin, the newest NHK Taiga drama. Man. Okay so basically I saw this on someone's LJ and freaked out because Tenchijin is about NAOE KANETSUGU which is kind of random but it made me unbelievably excited. My main exposure to Kanetsugu is, of course, from Samurai Warriors 2, and I have harbored a shameful love for him since I... am a very bad person. Let's leave it at that. I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT

Also admittedly, part of the reason why I'm watching it is for Shirota Yu, yes, that Shirota Yu. Yes, I feel bad. But I'm 17 episodes in and Yukimura hasn't even shown up yet so I feel a tiny bit better.

Anyway, it shows Kanetsugu (Tsumabuki Satoshi *_*) from his BAAABY DAYS as Yoroku (and his early love of justice and Uesugi Kenshin (Lord Terutora, before his name change))

YOROKU IS THE BIG DIPPER TO KIHEIJI'S NORTH STAR, which is to say Kanetsugu loev Kagekatsu even if Hideyoshi was gonna kill him.

My only issue of course, is that, while the episodes are being broadcast subbed wherever you can get TV Tokyo in America and Canada, I can't get TV Tokyo here, and people were being douches around when EPISODE 5 CAME OUT SUBBED and now D-Addicts and Koala Fansubs aren't releasing it anymore so I am stuck downloading raws every week :[ Not that I don't like raws but I would love to know wtf is going on now, rather than relying on my incredibly basic japanese language and history knowledge. Okay maybe someone else has picked it up, I see up to episode 7 now! YAY. I am RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED AGAIN.

To sum up: Honnoji hasn't burnt yet, since Oda Nobunaga (who is played by the very hot Kikkawa Koji) isn't dead yet so I know I won't see Yukimura for an AGE!!!! Fucking Mitsuhide, hurry the hell up. (There are 49 episodes slated, AFAIK.)

Also Masamune's in it, I'm only somewhat looking forward to that, I have no idea why.

Anyway. I just wanted to talk about it, idk if anyone is interested but it is really interesting to know that Kanetsugu has a really bad hat in all versions of history. Torrents are here!
